This week we have been going shape crazy in Year 2!
We have been looking at 2d and 3d shapes and discussing their properties. We can now identify how many corners and sides 2d shapes have. We can also identify how many vertices and edges 3d shapes have, as well as how many faces and what shape the faces are!
We have also looked at symmetry- we know that 'symmetry' simply means "the same on both sides". We became "shape investigators" and used mirrors to help us find lines of symmetry in 2d shapes!
Our work on shape will continue after the holidays!!
