Planting Beans

This morning we looked at different types of beans - broad beans, Italian beans and dwarf French beans (ooh la la!).

We said where we thought the shoot was going to come out of when it sprouts. We think it might come out of the side, the top or the white spot that's on some of them.

We filled a glass jar with cotton balls and put one of each bean around the outside so we can watch them sprout. Then we used a spray bottle to wet the cotton wool.

We can't wait for them to sprout. Which one will grow first? Watch this space!
