Finding Half!

Today in numeracy year 1 have been finding half of a given amount. We used some delicious Starburst sweets to make it even more exciting!

Below are some pictures of us finding half of a given amount. We decided to follow these steps:

1. Count the total number of sweets.

2. Share them equally in to two separate piles, fairly.

3. Count one pile of sweets.

We were brilliant and are becoming maths experts quickly!
