A Day in the Life of Queen Victoria
This week we have looked closely at a recount of 'A Day in the Life of Queen Victoria'- linked to our topic work!
We have been discovering which features we should use to write an effective recount including- 'setting the scene', writing in 1st person and past tense, using WOW words such as adjectives, connectives, time connectives, verbs and adverbs!
We have enjoyed learning about a typical day in the life of a Queen! We know that it is important to add lots of detail in recounts to answer any questions that readers might have! We used the question hand to help us write some interesting questions for Queen Victoria! Then we role played in the style of Queen Victoria- we asked our questions and Queen Victoria replied!
