We have started our new literacy topic- Stories with Familiar Settings.
We have been looking at ‘Farmer Duck’ a story about a lazy farmer who lets his poor duck do all of the work!
We ‘hot-seated’ the characters from Farmer Duck, we took turns asking questions to the characters and answering them in the style of the characters too!
We have learned that a familiar setting is somewhere we have been before or somewhere we are likely to go to!
We also found out that stories with familiar settings usually teach us a lesson- in the case of Farmer Duck we learned that if you want something done, do it yourself!
